FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
Please email libertyhillbakery@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
1. How much advance notice do you need for orders?
Preferably 48 hours' minimum, and a week for large orders. You are welcome to reach out and ask before ordering if you need a faster turnaround; sometimes exceptions ca be made.
2. Can I send you an image to copy for a cake design, etc?
Yes, you are welcome to, but please be aware though I will use the image as inspiration, it will likely not be exactly the same as I prefer not to copy other artists' work. Also I normally use plant-based dyes meaning the colors may be more muted/subdued unless otherwise requested.
2. Can I preorder for pick up at the next event/market?
Yes! I sell out fairly quickly at the Self-Serve Station Friday mornings, and at Farmers Markets or special events. Farmers Market or event appearances will be posted on Facebook and Instagram, so send a message or email ahead of those events if you'd like to pick up a special treat!
3. Where do you bake?
Liberty Hill Bakery custom orders (direct sales) are made and packaged in my home and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or local health department and business is done under the Texas Cottage Food Laws.
*note: wholesale orders are currently on pause*
For wholesale orders, I rent a gluten-free commercial kitchen in Georgetown, who IS inspected by the Dept of State Health Services and these Liberty Hill Bakery goods are now sold at a coffee shop or store near you! Right now you can find our baked goods at Mojo Coffee in Liberty Hill and Waterloo Coffee Co. and Sanctuary Holistic Kitchen in Georgetown. Follow me on Instagram to stay posted on where else!
4. Do you do weddings or big events?
Absolutely! I've done several weddings with a small wedding cake and hundreds of cupcakes, and large event dessert tables. However, please note I do not do large tiered cakes or complex fondant cakes. While I would love to take every order, I want to make sure I'm the best fit for what you have in mind!
5. What if I have severe allergies?
For my direct sales (custom orders) I do not recommend my items to anyone with an anaphylaxis-level allergy. While I store my allergen-free ingredients separately and have a designated prep area and sanitize before/after baking, I cannot guarantee there are no trace elements of allergens in the baking environment. For my baked goods in coffeeshops, I work out of a designated gluten-free commercial kitchen.
6. If your items are gluten/dairy/egg/soy/nut-free, how do they taste??
Amazing! As anyone who has tried my desserts can tell you--you'd never know they are free of the top allergens. I use mostly organic ingredients and search for the highest-quality ingredients I can find, which reflects in the taste! I was diagnosed as allergic to gluten, dairy, soy and corn at age 21, and have spent many years perfecting my recipes to taste exactly like the treats I used to enjoy but now without the inflammatory ingredients!

Even if you are not allergic, I highly recommend avoiding gluten and dairy especially, as those ingredients are very inflammatory. If you'd like to enjoy a dessert without bloating or discomfort and that is much healthier than your average treat, Liberty Hill Bakery is for you!
